After a busy first week of travelling and sight-seeing, we’d earmarked our first full day in the cottage as being a relaxed one, and so we mostly chilled!
After a lazy morning, with some orange juice out on the terrace, followed by some blog writing for me, and book reading for Lois, we both indulged in various pastimes throughout the day.
For Lois, this was very pool centric, mixed in with some reading and sun-bathing. I caught up on some computer jobs, and also caught up on a drone race that was happening back home in the UK (most events are live streamed, so you can keep track of your friends and competition accordingly!).
After a trip out to the supermarket, I returned back with supplies, and brought Lois out a cold beer, along with grabbing a light lunch for myself.
The next few hours were spent in the pool, before we made our way back to our terrace to start preparing tea for the evening.
We’d bought some gnocchi, and some delicous looking pasta sauce. I’d also bought some chicken, and so simply pan fried that before allowing it to slowly steam cook in the style of a shallow casserole.
Whilst I was cooking, Lois was catching up on blog writing and photo editing.
I then set the table, and we enjoyed our evening meal in another little seating area that we have at our disposal.
We retired inside to enjoy some macarons that we’d bought for dessert, whilst the beeps of various drone batteries finishing their charge cycles sounded.
Tomorrow, we’re heading to the “sparkly beach” as Lois has been calling it, recommended to us by her sister, Anna. This beach at Le Canadel sounds amazing, and I can’t wait to see it for myself. There are also some Royal Gardens nearby, so we’ll visit those, and if we still have time, we’ll possibly visit a couple of drone spots. Where we are in France is quite restricted in terms of flying drones, and so we have to travel a bit to be able to fly legally.
Sounds fun!
Don’t get caught by la police, Tom. Ce n’est pas amusant.
